Great example of how not to run a tire, opposite extreme of stretching. There is about an inch of tire on inside/outside of rim that will never see contact with the road. Plus it causes much more sidewall deflection so that the available tire contact surface on the road feels sloppy and unpredictable. In this severe case a 255 would very likely outperform that 285 on the same rim.
