17x9 ET35
Hey everyone,
Im going to be ordering my wheels soon and am looking at 17x9 ET35 all round, am i right in thinking:
i will need to; roll arches(fenders), bumper tab relocated, about 2.0 camber. im lowered on coilovers so can raise to a hight to suit the wheels, but would like to have little gap.
tires will be:
On the front E050MZ 215/45/R17 87W
On the Rear E050MZ 245/40/R17 91W
will that be enough to make them fit?
cheers

I had this information saved from some previous posts. I CAN NOT verify the accuracy personally but it should give you an idea of what is needed.
Rear with -3 rear camber.
17x8.5 et30 245/40/17 tyre
17x9 et35 245/40/17 tyre
17x9.5 et38 245/40/17 tyre
17x10 et48 255/40/17 tyre
Rear with -2.5 camber
the above +5mm on the offset
example instead of 17x9 et35 / 17x9 et40
Fronts with -2.2 to -2.5 camber
17x8 et30 215/45/17 tyre
17x8.5 et36 235/40/17 tyre
17x9 et42 245/40/17 tyre
You can go about 10mm Higher on the offset but any more and you'll be close to rubbing on full lock.
Modifications Needed
Rear - roll the rear arches flat to the arch, relocate the bumper tab ( when you look up in the rear arch where the bumper screws to the arch, you need to cut a small section out and move the screw further back ), finally you need to trim the bumper down the bit where the tyre tread would hit.
Fronts - cut the arch liner back a little about 15cm from the arch edge. Roll the little tabs that stick out and flare the arch to 45 degree angle.
Rear with -3 rear camber.
17x8.5 et30 245/40/17 tyre
17x9 et35 245/40/17 tyre
17x9.5 et38 245/40/17 tyre
17x10 et48 255/40/17 tyre
Rear with -2.5 camber
the above +5mm on the offset

Fronts with -2.2 to -2.5 camber
17x8 et30 215/45/17 tyre
17x8.5 et36 235/40/17 tyre
17x9 et42 245/40/17 tyre

The standard bridgestone 215 will stretch very aggressively on the 9" wheel. It will work, but it will have a lot of stretch. I highly reccomend flaring the front fenders about 15mm to get ample clearance for street driving duties.

i will be getting the tires fitted this weekend and test fitting, then i will be able to start to roll/flare. after these tires i will probably move to a 225 as i dont want to over stretch.
thanks for everyones input, its helping a lot with the planning.

Im running 17x9+35 all the way around with 255/40 RS3s.
The rears rubbed a lot even after I already had a roll/rear bumper tab relocated which used to clear my 17x9+40 with 255/40 Direzza setup. I since then rolled the rears more, shaved more off my ASM rear bumper & adjusted the tab location.
Im running ASM front Fenders which have the inside lip shaved. I barely clear & have to run the height up front a little higher to avoid hitting the fenders at full compression while turning.
The RS3s run wide in a 255. I wouldve been okay with a different tire that has a stiffer sidewall. Also, more static camber should help in my case which I plan to work on next alignment.

Need to lower the car up front or get RCAs to get more camber up front.

^ very good info! My next wheels are going to be 17X9+35 all around with the RS-3's. Sounds like fitting the wheels/tires in the rear will be no problem especially at -3.0+. Fronts I am still trying to figure out which fenders to go with.

If I would do it again, I would get the Downforce or GT Motoring Fenders (+30mm); those will have no problem at all up front with a 17x9+35 & 255/40 RS3. The ASM or any other +25mm fender will be very close if pretty low. The main concern being full compression up front with the wheel turned while driving hard or even going up/down steep driveways.
