Default 17X9.5J +65 wheels on the rear

Anyone tried this set-up? Would I have clearance issues?

I have it. It sits absolutely flush with the body of the car. I can't say about clearance lowered but stock it absolutely fits with no issues. Just from eyeing it, I would think no more than a 1-inch drop you should be ok, but again, that's from eyeing it, not first hand experience.

edit: I also have a 265 tire.

I have a 17x9 +45 with a 255 tire, I rolled my fenders (no pull) and relocated my rear bumper tab and have no issues. You should be fine with similar work (or less if you're not lowered) and a 255 tire

According to this calculator you will need less work than I needed:

Would it rub the inner tire well?

People have run the 6ULR 17x10 +72 with 275s and no rubbing from what I have heard, so I wouldn't think there would be a problem with a 65 offset. Are you looking at the SSR Type C or Type F? And if you're going staggered setup, you should run the 17x8.5 +58 in front IMO.

With that offset you should not have any rubbing.

I am guessing the SSR Type C or Type F. I think the 17x8.5 +58 with a 255/40 and the 17x9.5 +65 with a 275/40 would be pretty sweet. I think they are somewhere in the 16-17 lb range.

That's for all your replies.

Spot on, I'm considering the SSR TypeF. I'm setting up my car for the track and plan to run F- 225/45/17, R- 255/40/17 A050 semi-slicks. Thus I've been trying to find staggered wheels to fit those size tires and clear my AP 4 pots up front as well.

I think I'll settle on 17X8J +44, 17X9.5J +65. I've done a physical measurement on the car and it'll clear.
