Default 17x8 rims all round?

My mate has a set of 17x8 +38 offset rims.

How would I be able to fit these? I think the front will be an issue?

wrong width and wrong offset.

you are going to rub in the rear with 38 et if you lower about one inch.

no sure about the front, i think it might rub like a mofo also.

it will fit only if you run camber and roll the fender. how much camber needed would depend on how low of a drop you're going to run. I suggest staggering tire sizes so you don't get too much oversteer. you can get away running 225width in the front but its safer to run 215. the rear you can run 255's but I would recommend 245's.

On the 17X8 you are not going to be able to run a narrow enough tire to fit the wheel and not stick out of the wheel well and rug on the front.
