new to the forum. bought her about a month ago and i'm tired of looking at the stock wheel. ordered some volks ce 17x9 +63 offset all around. going to run 245/40 in front and 255/40 in the rear. do you guys think i'll have a problem?

That front tire is way too wide. You'll be rubbing whenever you have suspension compression. Besides, that is not enough stagger front/rear. Also, a 9" rim on the front is too wide for the proper sized tire (should be 225). The rims should also be staggered. Additionally, you can't talk about rim and tire sizing without mention of offset. Go to the sticky at the top of this forum to see what can and can't work.

That rim will be perfect on the rear with a 255 tire. It is just too wide for the front.

A 7.5" rim, 55mm offset with a 225 tire up front, will rub on heavy suspension compression. A 9" rim, 63mm offset and 245 tire will rub on moderate suspension compression. I guess if you call this "fine", then that's a different definition of "fine". Give it try. It's only money.

Nonstaggered with help gain more oversteer, but you will have to mod the front fenders if you are lowered to keep from tearing them up.

You have to widen the front fenders to clear 17x9+63's on the front. I'd sell 2 of the wheels and get a different offset for the front. Those that do run 17x9+63 all around are usually running on rolled or removed rear wheel openings, and aftermarket front fenders to clear.

The 1 car I've seen with them also had add on rear quarter panel flares to clear the tires with his very low ride height.

thanks for the input guys......these are the measurement
stock 04 s2k front wheel is 215/45---OD=24.6 WIDTH=7.7
245/40---OD=24.7 WIDTH=8.7
so, the OD is about the same but the width is an inch wider. with the offset being +63, wouldn't that bring the wheel in, therefore clearing the fender?

ps. i'm planning on lowering the car about an inch also
thanks
