17 x 9 + 40 F and 17 x9 +22 R good for track?

Default 17 x 9 + 40 F and 17 x9 +22 R good for track?

hi guys, i am about to buy a new set of rims to run on my car, as the topic the front i will will 17x9 +40 with spoon fender and Ap racing BBK w/330m disc, rear will be usine 17x9 +22 with spoon over fender. i am wondering is that a good size for track/street set up? also 255/40/17 is perfect for that rims? tks heaps guys

Have fun fitting a 17x9 +22 with a 255 in the rear without like -10 camber. I'm pretty maxed with a 17x10 +50 with a 255 in the rear with -3 camber

+22 offset is a waste of usable inboard fender space.

Unless he's building to a specific rule set that allows only 9" wide wheels, it would be best to maximize both inner and outer clearances of the fender. Keep the offsets at +44 to +55 and he could easily run 10" - 11" wide rims and run 255 to 285 wide tires.
