Default 17" Volks ce28 tire size

17x7.5(f) 17x9( r)
What size tire would be recommended?

Looking for neutral handling (if anything less oversteer).

I've noticed the rear tires wear 2x (or 3x) as quick as the fronts; does this lead to more oversteer as the fronts have more tread most of the time? Will slightly more stagger tire size than stock work any better?

I've got the same wheels/size/offset. I'm running 225/45/17f and 255/40/17 rear. No rubbing. I'm on stock suspension.

I have had a couple of sets. Both have been +50 & +63. On my first set I ran ES-100 225/45/17 and the rears were a little small. So, on the second set I went AD-07s with the same up front and 255/40/17 in the rear. I am dropped about 2.5 inches and I don't rub much. When I do, it is just on sharp inclines (going into my driveway) and that is up front.

The stock RE050 tires fit perfectly and handle great, tough to beat.
