Dear everyone that wants to or has ever wanted to run 16" wheels and tires,

don't.

regards,
wheel and tire subforum locals.

there's not shit for tire selection. largest is typically a 225. if you do find something wider than that, you should still go buy ap2 wheels. 16x8 is about as big you will find the wheels too. the 16s are meant for the fwd hondas, not the s2k. 8.5j or wider rear, 7j or wider front.

It's been some time but I remember seeing pictures on this site where people tracked and did time attack with 16"

I'm pretty positive it's somewhere in the forum
I remember seeing a white S2000 having 245/45/16 square set up with 16x8 all around too
Back then I Was debating if I wanted to buy 16" or 17" and searched through tons of pics on the forum
Oh I am sure it happens plenty. I have seen AP1's at the track on OEM wheels or 4 rear Ap1 wheels. However they generally are not competitive simply due to the lack of tire choice and how narrow the tires are. It has been shown that wider wheels and wider tires lower lap times pretty significantly (there is a good thread in R&C where the tested the 17x9 255 and 17x10 255 and the 17x10 was a notably faster). In short there is multiple good reasons Honda went to a 17 inch wheel for the AP2 grip and tire selection being some major ones.

As bad as the wheels specs are, the tire size you listed is even worse. If you run 245/45 (will require fender work) all around then at least it won't be a complete disaster.
