Default 16" wheels for stock tires

This has probably been beat to death in this forum, but I am new to the list so please be gentle.

I just bought an '02. It's main purpose is AutoX. I want to use the stock wheels for racing, so I need another set for my stock 16" tires. Tire Rack only has one option (SSR). Tires.com has over 20 options, but, they are all 7.5" wheels for front and rear.

Q#1
What does the forum think about (A) will 7.5's fit up front? TireRack says no, Tires.com says yes.

Q#2
What will the car drive like with 7.5's all around with the stock rubber?

Q#3
If anyone has any stock wheels for sale, please let me know.

You might wanna post these questions in "Racing and Competition" or "Under the Hood" section. And according to what I have read so far for 16" rims, Spoon/RegaMaster (7"/8", front/rear) or JDM 6-spoke (stock widths) are your best bet.

It's not so much the rim width as the offset being the more important issue. The fronts are normally 6.5" so putting the same tire on a 7.5" wheel is not that big a deal. You may just have to inflate the tire a bit more to make the contact patch "even". I have 7" width all around for my snow tires (stock sizes) so the front bead is pulled out .5" more and the backs are pinched in .5" more than normal. I have 44mm offset and the tires stick out a tiny bit. No problems with rubbing. If you have 7.5" wheels on the front, you'll need a bit less offset to ensure against rubbing anything. The backs should be the same as the factory wheel in form and function if you have the same offset on the new wheels.

Whether a 7.5" wide rim fits in front is one thing (it's offset as someone pointed out), but the bigger question is why do you need that extra weight?
