16" aftermarket wheels
I really want to stay with 16" wheels on my Ap1. I am looking for something in a gold but would take bronze or gunmetal. I have been looking around and there seems to be very few wheels in this size for the S2k. Am I SOL? Am I going to have to go with 17"s?

Why do you want to keep to the 16" size? There are SW388's that are 16" if you like that look. Keep in mind though, that a lot of 17" wheels are stronger and lighter than your stock 16s.
16" CE28N would be really nice and something thats pretty rare around s2ki.

1. Tire availability is plenty good enough for street only tires, and tires are generally cheaper than for 17".
2. For the track, wider tires are easy to find in 16"
3. They can look just as good as 17" but have more tire to protect the rims during everyday driving.
Just watch around on ebay and on other websites, shouldn't take too long to find a used set. If you don't mind doing a decent amount of fender work to run some pretty aggressive offsets, start watching toyota MR2 forums for wheels. I've seen a few sets of 16x7/8 staggered wheels with 35 offset listed on ebay for an MR2. Those sizes would have the same front fitment as spoon wheels and the same rear fitment as 9" enkei rpf1, so definitely do-able.

I guess I will just keep looking and see what pops up. The real problem is I am so CHEAP I just can't bring myself to spend $1500-$2500 on a set of wheels and then still need tires
