10" rears
I hope this isnt some question that every newbie comes on here and asks, but i have got to ask it. I am looking to purchase some wheels in the next couple of months here. It is a street car that will be occasionally used for the track(probably a good 5 times a year if not a couple more). I really LOVE the look of a nice staggered wheel set with a nice offset. The wheels I want are Work VS-XX 17"x8" front and 17"x10" rear with a 3.5" lip in the rear. Now, how is this going to affect me?
I am pretty sold on these wheels, but am very curiosu as to how a setup like this will handle. I know I am going to need some nice camber(someone mentioned -2front/-3.5 rear) In my mind, that is insane! This also includes possibly some stretched tires. I belive he said a 225 width rear. I will eventually drop the car on some nice coilovers, leaning towards the FLEX's as of right now.
Am I considerably reducing my handling possibilites?
Am I actually making my handling increase with a setup like this?
If I REALLY have to, I can always go buy a cheaper second set of wheels to throw some R compound rubber on. But for now I want to know how this is going to be as a street/track car...any help is GREATLY appreciated. thanks in advance!
On another, note i MAY be looking into the ASM rear over-fenders and possibly the matching rear bumper. therefore I can run this wide of a wheel without making drastic adjustments to make them fit right. Im just scared to put the ASM fenders on my brand new 07

Ask SilentDancer. At least with the VS-XX there are a crap load of offset choices... If you want the 3 inch lip however, you may have to go widebody.... not sure if thats possible otherwise. Fender rolling is obviously a must.

I have already PM'd SilentDancer, thanks for the reference though!
I am thinking of going with the ASM rear over-fenders, and I probably wont lower my car that low right off the bat until I do some kind of work to the fender. I imagine with the ASM fenders I could bring down the camber quite a bit more than I would have to with stock fenders.
I WANT 3.5-4" lip though, I know Im crazy but I can only imagine how sexy it will look especially with the asm fenders.

The ASM fenders are just a THOUGHT. I really like them and want them BUT I also do not want to ruin my brand new car to make them fit.
I dont know how they attach yet, but I did read on the ASM site that cutting and trimming of stock fender would be involved...which I most likely wont do for a while if i did it at all.
I am seeking advice for both stock fender AND the ASM setup. I know I wont be lowering my car as much as yours is in your signature, but maybe a 1/4" or so above the tire.
