If you have a 2000-2005 you will need a Hondata Kpro, the USDM 2006+ uses a Flashpro.

I think you also need a new ECU to put the Kpro in. Does not appear to be an economical change but I have a FlashPro so may not have paid close attention to the cost of this. Appears to push $1700. Plus someone has to tune the car.

This is a specially adapted ECU which allows the 2000-2005 S2000 to run from a RSX ECU. The engine crank and cam sensors must be changed to equivalent 2006-2007 parts - see below. The S2000 KPro includes a new or user supplied RSX (PRB) ECU adapted for the S2000, and a wiring harness for the crank and cam sensors. It does not include the Honda parts - see mechanical modifications below. All user supplied ECUs must be PRB A01-A12 and in perfect working order. We will not use any other ECUs for the S2000.

It's my understanding that Hondata won't work on AP1 as it needs a stand alone ems.

The Hondata Kpro needs a "donor" Acura RSX ECU -- part No. PRB A01-A12 . You can furnish it and sent to Hondata or buy one of theirs. And you need some AP2 engine sensors. And someone to tune it.

Thanks man. I appreciate the help. I'm currently waiting on all the parts to come in but I'm doing a k24/k20 swap. I can do all the engine work just fine. It's the electrical that's gonna be a struggle. Which is why I'm looking to figure this out.

Good luck. There are several aftermarket ECUs for these cars that may or may not be better for your use than the Kpro. But I assume you've looked at them all.
