I am looking for a 1-1.25" drop on the car with the adjustability of changing dampening to soft on highway trips and being able to firm them up when I go autox or on a spirited drive. I don't want an aggressive firm track set of coilovers, just something that gives me a drop and stays relatively smooth when I want it to be.
PSS9s seem to be the answer. I am close to buying a set of T1R Bmax coilovers, but am reading conflicting stuff about how they ride.
Suggestions??

I haven't researched any of the ones you're mentioning either for performance or cost. I was just trying to get what your purpose was before tossing out any recommendations.
Frequently KWv3's are mentioned on the racing forum as the all-rounder best 'bang for buck' and street/track package. That may be long in the tooth though as there were fewer options when they garnered that rep.
I have them on my car, the ride on the street is great, and their adjustments are actually noticeable per 'click' or whatever, unlike some adjustable dampers. 3-way adjustable, adjustable ride-height perches so you can decide the drop for yourself, and you can have them re-valved if you wear them out or blow a shock. All for around $1,800 or so new (I think, it's been a while since I shopped for them).

KWv3's definately seem to be the most popular. A little expensive for me. Bilstein PSS9's are the ones I am most looking at. The also seem very popular and can be had for about 1200 shipped. They seem very streetable and ride very well.
I think I have decided to get some Koni adjustable struts and use my stock springs. I can lower it around .5 inch and keep a good ride and have some dampening adjustability. Have read a lot of good reviews on them as well. I can get them for about 620 shipped if no PSS9s or similar become available.
