I'm well aware that you get what you pay for...
but $400+ for an airbox cover?
oh well, I'll probably end up with one anyways...

does anyone know if there's an airbox cover similar to that one (totally smooth), but not CF???

If you do choose the BYS cover, Bulletproof is the way to go. They're the Exclusive dealer for Backyard, and anyone who gets this for personal use, or even resale (like Spookee) must go through BP.

Is there any benefit to this, other than customization? It can't really make any performance gains, can it?

Yeah, about what I expected to hear. Why anyone would spend so much for such an item escapes me. I guess it fits in with under-body lighting and fake intercoolers.
