Who has their car still on the road?

I think it should be said: s2ks can (and will) rust. From what I've seen on the UK boards, it will invariably start where it always starts on Hondas--right where the rear bumper meets the quarter.
Obviously these cars aren't so badly protected from the factory like Japanese cars from the 80s, but rust is a hell of a thing to properly repair once it starts. Assuming it's not just superficial surface rust, there's always more underneath than what you can see.
If the car is just transportation to someone, then likely that person won't be too concerned. But for people who do enjoy the cars as something more than A to B, it's at least something to remember when you're driving through salt, etc. Hosing down the undercarriage is a good way to prevent corrosion from starting (wish the owners of my AE86 had done that, although it rusted if you looked at it wrong).

it doesnt eat the car away but the more shit u have on there, when u go to wash it the higher chance u gonna scratch through the clear coat.... unless u get it repolished
The S2000 is a neat, fun car but it's still just a car. It's transportation from point A to point B. You use it when you need to use it. It gets dirty. You wash it. You polish it. You maintain it. You repair it when you need to. It depreciates. These things originally cost $50K. What do you think it's worth now? It's not a prissy little porcelain doll that you keep under glass (unless that's what you want to do with your own property).
Scratch the clear coat? I'm still chuckling over that one. Oh, and when you take your car out of its parking spot, there's a higher chance that someone will come along and smash into it. Best to just leave it parked.
