Yep, majority of the people in the Photography forum uses Canon. But imho, all brands have their own strong points.

i use a nikon D70s, planning on getting the D90 for the video function and better auto focus points.
The lenses on DSLRs will win any Sony 20 megapixel (whatever they're at now) point and shoot... it's just the size of the lens and sensor that picks up more like (esp in low light settings) that produce better images, even if the mega pixels are lower in the DSLR vs point and shoot

^true, typically the super small P&S cameras don't have optics that are as good as the slightly bigger ones. The same can be said of DSLR vs any P&S camera. That being said, some people don't like the weight associated with DSLRs and might go for an extended range or Super Zoom P&S, which does offer a fairly good tradeoff btw a full DSLR and the P&S camera.
