I am looking to purchase a 2002 + Ap1 Honda S2000. With less than 150,000km. Looking to spend around $14,000. Please let me know what you have, I have not been able to find one through the usual channels (craigslist, auto trader etc.) so I thought I would try here. I am located in Vancouver B.C. Canada

I had chosen an Ap1 because of my price range. I also should have included in my post that I was looking for a Canadian car located in British Columbia.

Nothing wrong with a well kept US car imported into Canada, a few of us currently drive one.

I am not looking to discriminate against cars imported from the US, for myself I do not think I have enough experience to import one. I am also in a bit of a time crunch as I need to replace my current car.

Ah, so you're looking just for an s2k in Canada but it doesn't have to be a Canadian car? Most AP1s you see for sale locally are former US cars. Typically, Canadian s2ks (that is, the ones sold new in Canada) are priced higher because they cost a lot more here (~50k) and owners are reluctant to sell them for significantly less than they bought them. So you will probably only find US cars for the price you're willing to spend.

Try to avoid rushing into a purchase; definitely bring someone along who is familiar with the cars. (Apologies if you've already owned one or know a lot about them, but AP1s can be slightly more risky purchases than AP2s.)

Agreed. I've helped my cousin import an S2K into BC before. Not a big deal. Go for the AP2. You'll prefer the improvements long term.
