Default Where to buy new tires in/near Vancouver?

I have a 2001 S2000 and need new tires.

Can anyone on this list recommend where to shop for new tires locally?

I was on the Tire Rack website and the Yokohama ADVAN S.4. seemded good. (any opinions on that? I need tires with a good stick that will last since I can't afford to replace them every year or two and should be able to handle that occasional snow we get.)

But now where to go to find them?

What do all of you use and how do you like them?

Feel free to contact me directly at:
ephoph@mac.com

Duncan.

volco tires
advance motorsports (coquitlam)
teamwork (kingsway)

i go to advance, they usually do pricematching. so if you find the same tires somewhere for cheaper you can let them know and they will prob give you that deal.

get some kumhos! I think sumasianguys is sponsored by them from his huge decal on his front windshield ahhahaha. JK NEVER GET KUMHOS! Stick with what is recomended from other S drivers. Here in the wet, bc coast, you might want to consider a tire that is good in the wet as well as good in the dry. remember, when it comes to it, YOUR TIRES are the only thing gripping the ground and your car. I personally run S03s all around and since owning my car, ive gone through 3 sets i love them soo much. Good luck.

I have Pirelli PZero Rosso Assymetrico but I frankly have not been that impressed. Maybe expecting too much?

I have 18 (8" front and 9" rear).

Jim at Tirerack said I could try 255 (instead of current 245) but might need to roll the rear fenders a little.

I am going to get Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 since they get top ratings and are at least cheaper than Michelin Pilot Sports PS2.

(See the Max performance chart: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresult...eter=18&type=MP )

Any one tried them yet? Do tell.

advance motorsports

Kumhos street tires are death trap for this car. Especially during the wet season. Stick with the stock Bridgestone. Honda didn't accidentally select them. PS2 are more for heavier Euro and American cars than for the S. I would save the money and look else where.

BRIDGESTONES POTENZA RE-01R's FTW!!!!!

they're very sticky in the dry, almost as good as the A048 R compounds and 1 of the best in rain. sidewall is stiff so reponse is quick and alot quieter than most.

plus, they're on sale rite now on tirerack. i got mine for $510US shipped!

I've always found National Tire Wholesale just on the Ladner side of the Hwy 99 tunnel to be very knowledgeable and reasonable with their prices. I'm a daily driver and have been riding on a set of Yokohama's (I'll check the model) for the past year or so. They've got excellent grip in the wet, but NOT the snow. I think they were about $200 CDN each, including mounting and balancing. 15,000 KMS later and they're barely worn, still lots of deep tread.
