Default UBCSCC Autox

Want to learn how to control your S2k at the limit? Become a safer driver? Go faster? This is your chance, and you don't even need to worry about cops and tickets.

UBC Sports Car Club is hosting an Autox 101 event on Saturday, Oct 1. This event is basically a school for first timers, and involves 1 on 1 coaching, specific driving exercises and lots of seat time to teach ya how to drive fast, safely. There are only 20 spots available, and half of those have already been filled in the less than 12 hours that registration has been open, so you'd better act quickly if you're interested. This event is only held once per year. Cost is $80, but the course is highly recommended and well worth it.

Sunday, Oct 2 will be UBCSCC's first "Slush Series" event. This is the first of the regular autocross events that run through the winter. Even if you can't make it to the Saturday event, come on out for this one. There will be plenty of newbies, and I'll be there to help ya through the day. Registration is capped at 60 drivers, and it'll probably sell out quickly too. Cost is $35.

There's also a once yearly club fee.. $25 for first timers, I believe.

Don't worry about your car not being good enough, or anything.. just come on out. My car is stock, just an intake and Hankook tires. People bring whatever cars they have, and it's a very novice friendly environment.

This is what a typical run looks like:

That's me driving, btw. Tons of fun.

Cliffs: Come have fun learning how to actually drive your car fast, safely.
Sat Oct 1 and/or Sun Oct 2.

Who's in?

I'll be instructing at the autoX-101, So if you join I might be your instructor ^^.

1 small correction though, the autocross on the 2nd isn't a part of the slush series actually. The slush series should be starting later in October. Hopefully we'll get the finalized dates soon =).

There are still spots available for autox this Sunday. $35 for the event, $5 for a day membership.. Just about the cheapest form of autosport around

Be sure to sign up before 9pm this Friday!
