Top-quality Paint Shop
Is there such a thing as an honest top-quality autobody paint shop these days? I've seen some pretty awful jobs over the years, done by supposedly reputable shops.
I've got a few small rock chips in the paint (and the OEM paint pen only does a so-so job of fixing them), and wouldn't mind getting the entire car repainted and clear coated at some point down the road. I suspect good paint work is a classic case of you get what you pay for.
Is there a truly high-quality paint shop in this region that really cares about its work? Curious minds want to know.

I got my s2k fully resprayed a few years ago. Everything came off: soft top, glass, all weatherstripping. It was a lot of money and I'm a little ashamed to divulge it here (but feel free to pm me). I wish I could recommend the shop, but it wasn't a great experience overall. I was pretty much saved by one body guy who cared.
I've recently been researching a shop out in Maple Ridge called Big Time Motors. They look like they do good work! You can check out their Datsun 510 restoration threads on the 510 Realm.

Interesting!
I've been following the new "best detailer" thread, since this may be all I need (if minor rock chips and scratches can be dealt with). I won't bore you with the absolutely awful repaint I experienced many years ago, other than to say I'd never visit that shop again (it was the car dealer's own body shop ... shame on them)
