Default Tires from the US

Just curious..
would you claim the tires or just go right through without claiming it??

I was wondering what the majority of you guys do since I need to go down to the states to install a set. For those who claim it, how much was it per tire??

Thanks for the input! =]

i think its only $5 a tire but then you have to pay duty

tires are like anything else, you can claim them, or not.. its up to you.

you don't get caught, your off the hook, you get caught, its your fault.

so its up to you

You pay 12% HST and if they are not made in the US, you will pay 6% duty on the tires.

You can take the chance, but if you get caught lying, you will be flagged and next time you go across the border, it may be hassled.

I had two tires installed down there a few months ago - star specs from tirerack. I claimed them at the border, but the cbsa guy just checked that it was two tires, then waved me through
