spoon caliper question
#11
I had the H&R 15mm spacer kit. Came with extended studs and spacer, picked it up at AJR for bout $150, price might be different now that it's been over 2 yrs. FYI if you extend the front studs you should do the same for the rears cuz it will mess up the handling on your car.

would you do a diy installation thread of spoon caliper installation for bc s2000 owners?

stock pads are crap on the spoons, they also need to be machined to fit.. i highly recommend you go with aftermarket race pads (ones that squeal) I ran project MU race pads before (purchased from EVO GARAGE)
I ran stoptech steel lines front/rear, stoptech oem size slotted rotors, project MU race pads (front), rear pads (oem) and the performance difference was like night and day. I traded my spoon setup to my friend who is currently running them (he's also supercharged) and he loves them.

yeah, the stock pads are poo. anyways, i was just wondering if there are any "bolt-on" performance difference perhaps better "bite", but its seems that there isn't. i undestand a more even pad wear, but i guess the extra pistons will give it a "mushier" pedal feel, all things being equal.
what you guys are describing can probably be duplicated just by getting changing the pads on stock calipers (in terms of daily driving, not at the track).
i've gone thru several different pads in my integra, and am quite disappointed w/ the stock brakes on the S. Even oem ITR brakes/pads feel way better than ours.
