Voted no. Its just not the same without topdown. Use the hardtop money for other stuff.

yeah i heard that even with the OEM hardware, the top will creak and rattle. Bolting it down will reduce most if not all of that.

Hey Vince does your top make noise?

I say hardtop, but a hardtop isn't 20lbs... even carbon fiber ones aren't that light. Theres a new carbon OEM top thats just came out and it weighs 25 lbs i believe.

Anyway, for tracking and overall looks i would say hardtop. When you go cruising you can just get a buddy to come to ur place and help you it off.

bad thing is its stupidly expensive... =(

any plans to get a harddog roll bar?
Yeah there is a new dry carbon one that weights only 18lb.

I don't have plans for a harddog roll bar. I don't see a need for it as I am not running buckets with harness. Plus it's not required at the local track.

Yeah my HT squeeks, mostly on the left side by the striker. If i pull down on the striker the noise is gone. If I tighten the latch up I'm certain it will almost go away 85%

The noise does not bug me, because everything in the car rattles or the road noise is louder and i'm used to it.

just blast your atb - XTC really loud and fist pump

I eliminated most of the noise made by my hardtop with some strategically placed strips of foam tape on the latches.

And if I do, should I get 1x1 or 2x2?
