yeah i heard that even with the OEM hardware, the top will creak and rattle. Bolting it down will reduce most if not all of that.

I say hardtop, but a hardtop isn't 20lbs... even carbon fiber ones aren't that light. Theres a new carbon OEM top thats just came out and it weighs 25 lbs i believe.
Anyway, for tracking and overall looks i would say hardtop. When you go cruising you can just get a buddy to come to ur place and help you it off.
bad thing is its stupidly expensive... =(

I don't have plans for a harddog roll bar. I don't see a need for it as I am not running buckets with harness. Plus it's not required at the local track.

The noise does not bug me, because everything in the car rattles or the road noise is louder and i'm used to it.
