rear suspension
Hey guys,
Just got my car back from installing new Bilstein PSS9 coilovers, Eibach front and rear sway bars, Mich Pilot Sport A/S, 215/40/R18 and 245/35 18 on MRR GT1 rims. It all went in well, except the driver side rear tire sticks out 1/2". All the others tuck in perfect and do not rub.
We have independent rear suspension, can it be adjusted?
We are checking to see if the manufacturer shipped 1 wheel with the wrong offset but it is unlikely, the tire shop I used is super high tech and their computer would have caught it. I am also checking to see if I can machine 10 - 15 mm off the inside of the rim to get it back inside the fender.
Has anyone ever encountered such an issue?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated, All I want to do is drive this new set up.

That sounds like something is off.
Wouldn't have changed anything when the coilovers, or the sway bars were installed though so I would lean towards a different offset rim.
Should be stamped on the inside of them

No luck - I pulled the tires, both rims are 18x8.5 + 45 5x114.3.
I switched the rims from left to right and the issue is with the left rear side. It seems to be out by 1/3 - 1/2 ".
The right rear tucks in perfect with to rubbing.
Bushings etc all seem to be is good condition.
I was hoping it was an error in the rims they sent but it doesnt appear to be.

No accidents, the only ICBC claim is for a new soft top due to a theft.
The underside is so clean you can eat off it.
The car is an easy 8.5 out of 10.
I have been told it's a quirk with the S2000 but I can't find a fix anywhere ( not yet anyway ).

eyeball the amount of camber you have is it even on both sides? if not, consider getting an alignment
are the rear fenders rolled/flared? perhaps it was done unevenly or it was previously rolled and the driver fender was replaced due to damage which was not claimed.
off chance is there a spacer left on the driver rear hub? there are 10-15mm ones but i'm sure you would have noticed it if you have taken off the wheels and looked at the hubs

Alignment done at the tire shop with computerized system.
I may have to do some machining on the wheel hub, shave a little off the rim, slight camber, pull the fender a bit, or a combination of all these. No doubt if I throw enough money at it, it will be fixed one way or another
