Default Race season is coming, some pix

Just wanted to share some pix from last year.
Not sure what events I will attend this year but looking forward to it.
Here are some pix from Pro Solo at Wendover, Utah last year.
We drove 16 hours straight through the night to get to Utah.

Pro Solo is autox with a drag start.
I was surprised how fast americans are.
There were people from Idaho, California, Alberta, Nevada, Colorado, Portland...
Enough talking.. on to the pix.

Our 2 race cars. S on Rcomps and CRX on Re01r.

I think we were the only ones that didn't trailer our cars down and almost everyone runs with Rcomps.

All food included in this event!

timing trailer

Huge wings everywhere.

CR time

These 3 typeRs were duking it out and the winner won by a split second!
All 3 of them downshifted into first at the low speed turn.

And now a whole bunch of Elise/Exige cuz I like them.

She drove this thing faster than her bf! no joke.

That's all! Any one planning to head out to the track this year?

I drove the s2k for the most part. Was dead last in my class so just switched to the crx for fun.
The crx felt very underpowered. Feels kinda weird going to a slower car.

Dropped the clutch at 5500 to drag the s2k.
For the crx, just had to drop it at 2000rpm.
The christmas tree drag start autox is actually pretty fun.
The first day was a bit wet so all the STIs and Evos were killing all of us. 2nd day was dry and the white CR came in 2nd.

Watching 2 Elise's go at it was cool. You can see how both of them keep up with each other and then one starts to pull ahead after a turn.

You race the left side then the right side (mirrored course).
I DNFed the whole first day on the right side.

We took turns driving. Drove for 2 hours, slept for 2, repeat. There was elevation change on the way there so it would be warm on one part then snowing at another.

We pulled over for gas and asked the cashier what county we're in LoL. Felt creepy at the gas stations in the middle of no where.

I learned that HIDs help a lot when it's pitch black out.

^Where was your car? Who owns the rio? What tires were on the cars? I agree with the lights, they're great in the darkness!

Ok2000 owns the S2000. He was running Kumho V710s at the time I believe.

The CRX has Bridgestone RE01Rs on it. Since Toaster drove the CRX the suspension was totally redone, and the thing handles like no front wheel drive car I've ever driven. It's totally fantastic.

And I agree, Pro-solos rock! That said, both the pros I did last year were in this:

What are your racing plans for this year?
