Glad you made it out in one piece.

An SUV isn't going to be any safer. The bigger they are the harder they crash.

Ya sorry no s2k soon, or any convertible for that matter. I was too close to death and the fact that I had no roof to protect me scared the hell outta me. This doesn't happen to everyone but it happened to me so its kinda hard to explain. By the looks of my pics, do you guys think my airbags were supposed to deploy?? none of them came out and that don't seem right...

I think I can speak on behalf of everyone and say that we're all glad that you made it out in one piece. Get well soon and have a speedy recovery.

No direct frontal impact. The airbag sensors are at the front of the car.

BTW, after reading the description again I just want to point out to everyone that the "brake & swerve" is probably a bad move at the time. It's probably a natural reaction - but this is not something you want to do in this car. You either swerve or you brake. Brake & swerve is like braking and turning at the same time when you're entering a corner. The best course of action is probably to brake as hard as you can and hold tight on the steering wheel. If he swipe you then so be it. Worse case scenario you end up fish-tailing him and he goes for a spin.

I have to disagree...I think that the airbags should have deployed. There was some front impact...look at the passenger side front bumper...it's cracked in half.
IMO the airbags should have deployed.

That's nothing. My front bumper was in pieces and both head lights were shattered - no airbag. There is nothing on the front side of the car, it's just empty space. That's why it caved in and made it look worser than it is.
