I'm definitely not much of an audiophile. I just want to be able to hear my music while I drive and I'm happy. My head unit has everything centered, front/rear and left/right. Yet most of what I hear comes from the rear speakers. Oh well, i'm fine with it.

I would recommend investing in a good set of components for the front. The door panels already have locations for the speaker and a tweeter. Because of the lack of space, you won't be able to get a speaker with too big of a magnet behind the seat without any major fabrication. A small 2/4 Ch amplifier wouldn't hurt either.

Like Cam said, amp and deck make the difference. It's like buying a fast CPU but having a crappy motherboard.

No point buying a pair of component speakers without changing the deck. Taylor I'd buy the deck first!

I have an Alpine CDA-9887 with stock speakers for you to try out. Won't be remotely close as clear/crisp as cam's Focal's...but the deck is a great upgrade from stock.

Sidenote: Don't listen to Cam's setup, you'll be very dissapointed when you go back to your car hahaha =)

Back to the talk about audio.
If you hear most of the sound from the rear, then there is something wrong with the settings. For one thing, your ears are facing forward.

If Cam is an audio Nazi, can I be one of his minions?

A good HU with a minimum 4 V pre-out and a 4V amp will make a good set of components sound really good.
Just make sure to budget a little bit for sound deadening to get rid of some of the rattles in the doors.
