Default PC or Other Polisher

Does anyone know of a good place to get a Porter Cable Polisher in the lower mainland? Also pads too!

Canadian Tire sells it, but they charge an arm and a leg for it.

I went to Lordco too, but they have a very limited selection. Detailers Domain has their group buy going on but I was wondering if I could buy this a little closer to home without paying the freakin expensive shipping charges (&duty +taxes too!). Maybe I should ask in the Pacific Northwest Forum too!

I considered about it for a long time but it seemed to expensive. YOu saw my other thread right? about detailing with hand. I doubt it's possible but i have all the tools. Just need to find a time and try.

btw if you plan to detail your car sometime in future, definitely give me a shout!

Hey Vic, I did see your post in the Wash & Wax forum. It's so expensive to get a PC up here! It sux that we need to pay $50+ shipping from the states wereas it only costs $7 to ship to Seattle! I'm probably going to wait for warmer weather before I detail the car though. If I can find a PC at a reasonable price I might pick one up.

i ain't paying $250 for one time thing. Car gets dirty real quick even during nice days. I already have too many wash/wax products so all I need is PC (if hand doesn't work well).

Alspeed have you checked autogeek.net? My gf purchased bunch of stuff from there and occasionally I receive email like 15% off and stuff. I don't think the shipping cost is $50 either. PC7424 is real popular among US s2k owners.

edit: ok I just went to autogeek and it comes down to 190.49 including tax and shipping. Tax was 0. So that's not too bad. In future if I receive email like 15% discount. Probably you can get it for like 170~180 including everything. This one includes pads too!

When you mean polish, do you mean swirl removal? I mean hell if they can polish my whole car and remove all the nasty swirls, then I'd really consider paying that much.

Yes. I use Zanio products on my car, but this spring I will be going to DAS to get my car done. They usually have a pretty good spring deal.

I'm pretty hands on. Whenever possible I like to do/try things myself.

Detailing is definately not a do it once type of job. My friend has a yellow ITR and his hood is sooooo dull from years of neglect, not all his fault though b/c he bought the car used. The car was parked outside all the time though.

Vic, I'll check out autogeek, thanks.

DD has a real sweet group buy deal for their PC at like $130... but shipping cost of $50 is just so damn gay.
