Default OEM stereo code

I did a quick search and didn't really come up with anything of use. I have had a aftermarket deck in for the last 2 years, but I am thinkin about puttin my oem deck back in.. The thing is is that I don't have the code for the anti-theft.. Is there a way to get this code.. I bought the car used and it didn't have the manual or any codes... It is a 2001 so IM not sure if it is even poissible to get the code for this... Any help would be appreciated... thanks

chad

They said they could not do it for me.. So they gave me the number for Honda America... 1-800-999-1009... From there they just confirmed my VIN number and serial # of the deck. I also have to fax in a copy of my DL and my ownership papers..( they give the fax #) A lot of work just for the stock deck... But after they recieve that then they will call me and let me know the code... Just in case anyone ever has to go through this again.

Really? I told them I was doing some service work on my car and had lost the code... they told me right over the phone and all I had to give them was my deck's serial number!

I guess they are cracking down a bit

I went to a honda dealership. Showed them my car and they gave me the code. I called them ahead of time though and they said they can give it to me in person but not over the phone. It's the service dept.

^^ Is yours a Canadian or US model?

I talked to three dealerships locally and they said they couldn't help me since it's a US model radio...

I got mine from work and it's also a US car. It shouldn't have a problem finding the radio code through any canadian dealership unless they are just lazy to look it up for you.
