Default Nice day....

What a nice day for a drive. I went to Sharky's again for lunch with my gf and it was great!
This is probably the first day I've felt summer weather has arrived and I've realized a few things.

1. I need sun glasses.
2. The s2k is hard work and drains you physically and mentally when you drive all day with the top down in 20 C+ weather
3. The car SLOWWWSSS down on acceleration in hot weather, what a difference.
4. DON'T PUT IN MORE GAS AFTER IT'S STOPPED AND SAYS ITS FULL. I overfilled today, damn.

So how was your day?

Today was one gorgeous day! But I noticed on days like today, it seems hot in the car whatever you do when your soft top is down. I tried windows up and air conditioning at practically full blast, and I was still just roasting. Then I tried windows down, and the air conditioning at practically full blast...and still....so does that mean when Vancouver gets those rare L.A weather, I have to put my top up
A funny story to share with you. I swear, one of these days, I'll have to take a picture...but I was stopped at a red light in Richmond. This Caravan puts up next to me. And as I look around, my eyes stop to the driver next to me on the right. This is pretty much my facial expressions...
Now to all the chinese people out there..please try not to take any offence...
Anyways, I saw a mid-aged woman with her whole face covered with this visor...thing. mmpph...kind of like tennis cap but the cap going down all the way to the chin made out of black plastic. You won't believe how incredibly weird this woman looked. Maybe someone out there has seen chinese women wear this...or more like...do this to themselves! I asked Darwin later what was on her face...and he said that its to keep their face white. Prevents their face from darkening from the sun. Yup...that's my major highlight of the day I guess.
Oh! And my I bought my lucky dog Luckypooh a cute doggie blanket so he can sit on it in my passenger seat. I figured its better than him clawing my leather seat!

Well, take care everyone. Have a good and HOT Friday!

Christy, I see those mid aged women wearing those masks sometimes, apparently they are used in HK now because of SARS ( the clear versions).

Do you always look over to the driver next to you? I try not to do that, cause some prick might wanna race or something. Just like today, a V8 GMC van tried to outrun me to cut in front of me when no car was behind me. I just kept on going and and vtec'd it. When he was behind me I lifted up my arm (top down ofcourse) and wiggled my finger (index, not middle!) indicating to not do that next time. I just hate those situations so that's why I try not to look over to the next driver most of the time

spoonek4: so turbos are worse in the heat huh? I didn't know that. Too bad I can't get oakley's b/c I need perscriptions.

Yah sharky's is fun, gives me an excuse to go for a nice little drive throught the highway and have sum raw oysters and seafood.

Lets see what I did today, got splitters installed on my car, my grills finally came after UPS made a wrong delivery to an abbotsford house, the guy living there was a coquitlam RCMP, so he thought the package was his and he told ups to sent it to coquitlam RCMP detachment. After waiting for 2 weeks eventho it arrived in vancouver, i finally got it and i installed it. Then washed the car.

And damn today was pretty hot! I like driving at night with the top down, warm with chilly air blowing at you = relaxing.

I think she's talking about this visor thingy, but very big and very dark. I saw one today. It looked very scary, and stupid too.
