well, i only found out after i saw the fluid pooled on the subframe, looking down into the engine bay..
and that was only on one side... the driver's side had no indication...
they're easily removed in a shop or even at home.. just take it out and see...

As for checking the engine mount, look at them and check to see if the rubber in the mounts are dry or cracked.
If you drive agressively, then the mounts may wear out faster than normal because of the amnount of movement from the motor.
