Default JDM FD2 Civic Type R Speed Shift Knob

I am looking at purchasing this shift knob..., anyone have one and what do you think?

I have looked at the OEM CR shift knob as well but it only comes etched in yellow. From what I have been told the FD2 Type R fits the S2000 and is almost exactly the same with the exception one is about 2mm higher than the other.

Any comments?

i honestly think the differences between those thousands of shift knobs out there is just insignificant. If you like the look and are comfortable with round knob, then just go for it.

Ya that is what I am thinking. I do like that it is countersunk and sits lower.

The numbers can be painted red, even on your stock knob.

The knob in the image is $45 USD shipped and the CR one was about $75 shipped.

I have a voodoo knob. Love it. Ball knobs are easy to grab and feels the same from all directions. LoL

after trying various knobs, I concluded that I prefer heavier knobs.

Ya i agree with vik...heavier knobs are soo much better.

I have a T1R ball shift knob...and starting to not like it. It makes my shifts notchier because its lighter than the stock one.

I like the egg shape better than the ball too i think.

I think im going to be getting the skunk2 knob. its much heavier than the stock knob and has the same shape.
