Default HID Turning pink

My passenger side HID headlight is turning pink. I assume it's about to go.

Anyone had this problem or changed them yourself?
Is it possible to replace them without taking out the fender panel or bumper? sounds like a pain to replace a pair of lights.

I would like to replace them with 5000k - 6000k bulbs but I understand you get less light on the road. Also, I don't want a cheap bulb as it sounds like changing them is a B*t*H! Any recommendations? Thanks.

yeah the higher the temp, the less light output. i think most OEM are around 4300k. i'm having the same problem on my car but replacing the bulb didn't fix it. i just ordered a new ballast that i should get next week.

You can buy D2S bulbs from the retrofit source, you won't need to modify the housing.

Also, I believe that either Phillips or Denso ballasts work with our harness, you can buy oem s2000 refurbs also but you may not need to. Have you checked if its the ballast or the blub that is konking out yet? Try swtiching the left and right blubs and see if you still get the "pink" light. If switching the blub moves the "pink" light then its just your blub, you don't need to replace the ballast.

My pink lights just went out.. now I can see it ignite and bulb goes out. I hope it's just the bulb. I still find it a pain to remove both tires and fender well lining just to replace the bulb.

Your ballasts still work. Replace your blubs, just take out the bulb from the housing (see your instruction manual). FYI Ballasts do the ignite and the blubs produce light after ignite, so if you see the ignite but no light then the blub is done but your ballasts are fine.

I'm pretty sure that OEM blubs are Phillips, but you'll see when you pull them from the housing. Its REALLY easy, the manual tells you how to do it. We don't need anything fancy like VAG COM cause Honda never put it in. Just replace your blubs are you have light again. IMHO

I hope it's just the bulb but the real pain is to get access to the bulb. how long did it take you guys to get to the bulb? if I have to remove the bumbper, i may as well buy a 55W kit. After doing search online, 80% of the philips bulbs on ebay are fake
