Default Help please with Ballast/HID problem (video clip)

my driver side HID started acting up just now.. dont think its the bulb problem as bulb would turn pink before getting fried..

i included a video clip to show what happens. When you turn the light switch on, the HID badly flickers and the DRL/Highbeam bulb slowly starts going on brighter and brighter and both shuts off (wtf?). Obviously the highbeam switch is off, and i disabled my DRL so i dont really know what the deal is..

passenger side is perfectly fine.

possibly a fried ballast? or loose connection with the harness/wires?
if i need a new ballast, i might just get a set of ap2 headlights with ballasts and bulbs since the passenger side will probably go out anytime soon as well.. i really hope not though, dont want to spend money right now

hey jason, just went through the samething on the driver side, thought it was the bulbs so i swapped in a new set, few days later the bulb went out again, the bulb and ignitor melted together. Turns out it was a faulty ballast.
