Sounds like it is worth a try....I'm a bit older so I usually don't attract the police like a younger driver might.

Hey, I resemble that comment! I still have no front plate and I have yet to receive a ticket (Knock on wood) and I have had the car for over three years. The Port Moody police are brutal, so I try to get out of the area fast.
