hey guys my scheduled service is coming up and i'm thinking of bringing it to one of the shops another town instead of bringing it to the dealership.

How often should the tranny and differential fuild be changed? (i don't track the car) And what are the rates i should be expecting for a full fluid change (engine oil + tranny + differential) ??

If you want to go with what honda says, you'll need to change all that at 48,000km. Dealer with synthetic oil would be probably around $500. So anything less than that is reasonable, in my opinion.

oh.. mine's at 28,000km at the moment..i was curious if i should do the tranny & differential fluid change as well along with the oil change..i wonder how much debris & metal pieces are in the fluid..

i've own the car long enough such that i've grown accustom to all those mechanical noises..but the occasional whining makes me wonder if it's the trash in the tranny/different making those noise..but (most likely the clutch buzz)

unless something is wrong internally and assuming fluids were done properly the 1st time you should be fine till 40k+ especially if it is just daily driving.

i like to change my tranny once a year and diff 1-2 years with oil every 5-7k.

i also change my coolant every 2 yrs
