ordered the JDM clear headlight diffuser and the JDM clear side markers last night. I might let Garage 5 install them for me when they install my headers, Vafc2, Rsm, toda cam gears. Might as well let them do it at the same time. If not then I'll post here and try and set an appointment with you, indecision......Joe said your name was Cong right?

You didn't need to get the JDM side markers. The older generation Civic side markers are identical to our. They have them at those car accessories shop in Parker place for like $15 a pair.

I heard from ppl that those civic ones don't fit the S2000 perfectly and would actually dent the car. Before I thought they were all universal but I guess I was wrong. Why? Did you use those side markers?

No denting. I have the older generation Civics. Works just fine. I know Frank used to have them on his as well. Frank was the one that actually discovered this. It's identical to my stock orange side marker.

Cook the side markers? sure! j/k

I can definitely help out this Saturday or next. Next may be better. I have to arrange a run up to Shannon Falls this weekend

The secret is low temperature and long cooking time. Make sure your towel is always wet and cool so you won't grill your housing.
I've done a few sets myself, and I'd like to recommend the DRY towel technique.

Any moisture in the oven has the potential to leave water vapor marks on the lens. Using a dry towel to rest the headlight on provides protection from the metal oven rack or pan, and will absorb any ambient moisture/humidity that may be present.

I have used the same terry cloth towel 4 times, and it is only slightly discolored. It has no singe marks whatsoever, and it has never produced even the slightest amount of smoke. The towel is hot when it comes out of the oven, but you can still hold it with your hands.

I also highly recommend "flowable" silicone for sealing the seam after the lights are back together. The flowable silicone is thinner than regular silicone, and it will flow down into the seam and seal all of the air pockets. Just go slow, so you don't flow any down into the headlight.

Just trying to offer some variations on the technique- I'm sure your work will turn out great!
