Default cooking my headlights?!?!

Ok fellas......I would like to clear the corners of my front headlight.......I've seen the instructions on bumper removal and headlight removal as well as headlight cooking. I don't have enough balls to attempt it. Has anyone in Vancouver done it before?

2 cars, 3 times

The secret is low temperature and long cooking time. Make sure your towel is always wet and cool so you won't grill your housing.

I see..........how long did it take you? My estimate is about 4hrs for the whole job. I'll probably have to do it during the A.M hours as I'm an imsomniac and most productive at those times.

Took me about 5hrs the first time. 2hrs the second time around. The most difficult part is prying the housing. Do it generately, cook it some more if you're having trouble opening it. It's super easy if it's properly cooked. Try not to touch the clear plastic with your hand/finger keep as it as clean as possible.

well I won't be able to insure the car till mid or end of April. That's when I start driving my S every year for 6 months. Besides make sure you purchase your Jdm clear headlight diffuser first because that piece will replace the amber piece. unless you want the naked look which I don't recommend.

I'm available any Saturday in April if you guys need a hand.

If you're going to clear it be sure to pick up Rick's clear diffuser. Without the diffuser the bulb is too bright. It can really annoy other drivers in front of you. Your blinking signal light will be too bright.
