yup when i changed mine it didnt look like diff fluid!!! previous owner never changed it. it was like all the fluid was converting to sludge i think i changed it just in time cause it feels better. i dunno how but it just does!

Shop, didn't really wanna get underneath the car in this weather and shit. charged only 25 bux labour so.... y not. Pretty easy job tho,

I used to change the transmission fluid twice a year and differential fluid once a year. Now that the car has temporarily retired from track duty I just do both once a year.

And the differential fluid is supposed to look and smell like ass after use.

i immediately changed out all the fluids in my car the week i bought it thinking "just in case", and sure enough, it made a world of difference. i used Motul tranny and diff fluid, got it from ajr

Not only that, but the T1R also contains a stronger magnet so it actually picks up a bit more debris!

I've been changing diff and trans fluid every 15,000kms (every 3rd oil change). Even after lots of 6k+ launches on hot, sticky autox tires the fluid still comes out looking pretty good. I'll be sticking to this schedule as it is pretty cheap insurance.
