^^^
lOL....well supposedly its okay since the vented parts are towards the engine and not the side(electrical components) BUT im not 100% on this.

What i am sure is that there was a huge reduction in temperature sooo there must be performance improvement aswell. I would get it pure on style though cause i doubt it'd be something noticeable, and plus, if it snows....i don't think it'd be fun washing it...the engine bay would get dirtier a lot faster, especially with you daily driving it taylor

Hey question here but the CF hoods I have been looking at are vented. What happenes when it starts to rain? Is that OK on the engine? Does the water get into the hood?
Dave, your intake is open so I think water could get onto it w/ a vented hood.

In most cases you won't run into problems with a vented hood, other than a dirty engine bay. Some of them have optional covers, and the higher end ones have gutters built in.

Vented hoods make a very noticeable difference in under-hood temperatures.

when i had a vented hood i never had any problems in rain.. and in really hot days i see alot of heat coming out.. so i guess it works well

but with the K&N intake i you should becareful since the filter is in the open..

Maybe nothing noticeable for a stock car, but for woo(andrew), who's boosted will see a gain I would think.
