If you can remember the police officer's name and badge number it might work. But just saying another cop told me it was okay prolly won't cut it. Hey i got pulled over last week because my license plate light bulb was burnt out. So it's really a toss up.

 

That's not true. I've had 2 tickets so far for improperly mounted front plate because I had the plate tucked in the dash like everyone else does.

When I go home, I'll check what number the ticket is.

 

why run plates at all?

 

I change the rear plate from Mugen to the JDM ap-1 plate and live in CA

I drove my car up from the states w/o front and rear plates, but of course I had temporary insurance in the form of a piece of paper. Fortunately I never ran into any cops, otherwise I'm sure I would've gotten pulled over. Reading the Ontario forums, one guy got pulled over in each state that he went through. I don't think getting pulled over is worth the hassle, although I love that plateless look!
