Brand new S2K owner w/headlight question...
Hello everyone,
I've been a member for years but never actually owned an S2000, until today!
I just bought a used 2001 yellow S2000 with 80,000km and am very excited. Wanted to say hello to you all!
I was also wondering: The car has an AP2 bumper on it so I was wondering if the headlights are AP1 or AP2 or if there is even any difference?!! (I need to replace the passenger side one because it is foggy and honda told me it will blow the HID in the Winter)
Thanks in advance and I look forward to speaking with all of you,
Dave

Yes there is a difference between AP1 and AP2 headlights. Just to name one difference, the AP1 has a larger corner amber lense.
Just a guess, cause I have not seen your car, but I think that you most likely have AP1 headlights, as they are infamous for condensation build up.

Thanks for the response Mike,
In this case the condesation was probably caused by the accident because there are actually cracks in the headlight (case?).
I guess the question I really should have asked is not "wether the headlights are different between AP1 or AP2" but "do all year headlights fit in all years bumpers"?
I definately have a AP2 bumper on AP1 S2000....

AP2 headlights is any easy swap IF you have the AP2 ballast with them.
if you dont have the ballast there is a lot of work to do to get them ti fit in.
AP2 taillights will fit as long as you cut your car up a bit haha. i think the sockets are bigger for the AP2 tails than the AP1 so you have to cut the hole bigger on the AP1 body so that the sockets will fit through.
