I've gotten so many messages from prospective buyers on my friend's GPW, lol! Sorry, but it's already been sold!

There's a red Ap2 with a hardtop selling at Honda Way, anyone have any experience with those guys? I called to inquire about it a couple weeks ago, now the salesman keeps leaving me msgs.

Someone had mentioned that the NFR has been there for awhile. I guess it's primarily b/c of the price. They seem unwilling to move on the price as well, although since used S2 prices have been going up, maybe the listed price isn't too bad after all, since HT seem to be selling for $4g's recently.

That car has been sitting there for a very long time, it's no wonder they're acting desperate.

I guess they can afford to keep it on the lot.

I was recently back and forth with the sales manager, there's no wiggle room on price. It is firm. Even with help of their employee, there was no negotiating.

Very true. My experience was that there was no negotiating the price, but that I could bargain for "extras" like free wheel damage insurance, paint defect fixups, a new alarm system, steering wheel locking bar ... minor stuff. And a couple of post-sales problems were quickly fixed. The price was still high, but I got a low-mileage car I really like (and that's what counts).

My understanding is they are not the least bit desperate to sell the cars, and willing to keep a few in storage for future sales. A few months later, when I chatted with the dealership owner, he expressed his frustration in trying to find low-mileage accident-free cars anywhere in North America.

Honda sold over 69,000 S2Ks in North America (over 110,000 world-wide) during the ten years of production. They can't be all that rare, so where did they all go???
