I had the cash, and wasn't too concerned that I knowingly paid a premium, so I helped inflate the market a bit.

Perhaps the price curve will flatten out for a while, but ten years from now the S2000 will be sneaking into the "classic" category, especially as folks begin to understand just how pure a sports car it is. By that time, the majority of these cars will have expired in one way or another.

Hmmmm ... it's time to grab a really pristine example and put it in preservation storage for 10 or 20 years! I wonder when Jay Leno might consider adding one to his collection? (he already has a 600)
