Hey Wally can you please PM me with the specs for your stereo? What door speakers are you using? Did you replace the tweeters as well? Do you have an amp running your mids? I know you have one driving your sub. I am thinking sound may be next on my list. Also what wing is that?

Gotta say till Jon shows up you got the best looking car I've seen on the island so far..., I just quickly saw Jon's and can't wait for a better look at that one.

hi dave,

to upgrade your stereo... throw everything stock out, then do something like i have or better

fronts: focal 6.5" (larger than stock) with new door tweeter and crossover ... these speakers are vital for loud clear crisp sound

rear: i don't have any speakers, but would like to add them behind the seats someday, i have heard them and it sounds great

trunk: 10 " Alpine type X sub, twice as heavy as my old type R sub and sounds way better ... i made my own mdf sub box that fits into the storage hole area

amps: 2 alpines, one for the sub and the other for the fronts

head unit: alpine no power 9885 with tilt feature (can't find a suitable replacement) ... i will replace this with a non cd deck and go straight to usb/ipod connections as cds are toast

my system was my first mod and is already 7 years old but still sounds really good. stereo equipment has come down in price lots, so it will be easy to upgrade

Thanks for the nice car remarks. I'm not into one upping anyone. Everyone has their own style. My goal was to keep it modded but in a stealthy way so I could still use it for work as I am a realtor. It was nice to finally meet some of you and it will be nice to get a ride in with others.

agreed on the rear speakers being worthwhile....I added some Premiers behind the seats and its like night and day. I was a bit skeptical at first that they would be muffled but its hardly noticeable, hits nice and hard through the seat even. I was considering the headrest S-pods or whatever they're called but it seems like they would completely dominate the door speakers, and they're $$$.

And if you guys are looking for stereo stuff I recommend Island Audio on Blanshard as one place that knows what they're doing and will stand behind their stuff.

I talked to the Spa yellow AP1 guy for a minute today at soccer, apparently he's on here...

Would love coilovers Jackie but got some other priorities first.
