Anyone know a shop that will do our alignment by moving our subframe?
The steering is off center, slightly to the right by ~5degrees. The car felt a bit unstable at 190km's and a bit darty in corners. The subframe was dropped during the recent clutch job which upset the front alignment. Since everything was set at the factory and they have tight tolerances I thought that to restore the subframe to the original position would result in a better alignment than compensating for the shifted subframe by doing a standard wheel alignment.

Hey Darwin, when we were behind you guys I noticed Ruby's ass shaking and a bit during the high speed chase. At first I thought it might be the road, but now that you mention it. Ruby definitely needs an alignment.
I used to take my car to http://www.advanceautomotive.ca to prep the car for autocross. I'm not sure if they do subframe alignment, I would imagine they would. They're the official tech inspection place for VCMC so I'm sure they will know what to do or at least point you to the right place.

Really? U saw Ruby's ass shaking? Hmm...I thought she got abit shaky too...especially going 190km's!!
Thanks for your advice...not sure if Darwin read this post yet, but he did call that place u mentioned...and they will do the sub frame alignment thing that needs to be done on Ruby.
I will probably bring her in this afternoon....
Ok...later then...
P.S-The guy there totally thought Ruby needed a sub-frame alignment done...they will use this laser thing on her...details I'll have Darwin post later...

man, you guys just had the car for like a couple months and already have so much problems and farked it up so (clutch/alignment).
This is why I keep mine stock and just enjoy it as is. Screwing around with it with mods just weakens the car and bring upon alot of headaches throughout the ownership of the car.

Thanks Cong.
Hey, that's the first place I thought about.
I went there this AM and John said he can do it. He said he'll align the subframe first and do the alignment after. I asked if he could get it dead center like it came from the factory but he said it would be too hard. He indicated he could get it within 1/16".

The world would still be flat if we don't explore. I wouldn't call these problems. It's more like tuning and exploring You just have to keep trying until you either get it right or go broke
