Default Anyone here attempt DIY vented stock hood?

Just wondering if anyone here as attempted to do the DIY: Vented Aluminum Hood.... besides lookinco who is selling his ( tell me where you got it done!! ). Sort of interested in doing this myself not sure though, what do you guys think? I would be interested in getting someone to do it for me if they can garrauntee me a good job

I did already hahaha. I wanted to hear some opinions too on it, what people think of how it looks and its functionality.

It looks pretty cool and as same as all other vented hood it lets out the heat from the engine bay =)

Have the guts to do it . Once lookinco replies back to my msg of how or where he got it done I'm probably going to do it

Instead of cutting up the hood, you can take out the weather stripping and add some washers to where the hood bolts onto the hinge to raise the back of the hood.

Wont to hood the look like it doesnt fit properly all propped up in the back??

Also, I believe there are SEVERAL threads regarding the actual effectiveness of the DIY hood venting VS hood spacers. something about how the pressure zones of right under the windshield arent high enough to pull the hot air out.

Don't you already have a vented hood??

If you do this project, I recommend you purchase a separate hood to keep your OEM hood in 1 piece! Cat has one for sale: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=825004
