I have no skill in this area ... so glad to stand around and watch.
Flexer has access to a lift and may be able to help ... he has the skills.
I can recommend a good place to do the install for you ... if it comes to that.

Yes,
It is pretty easy. Pulling the spring out and un-doing them from the purch is the easy part. The hardest and longest part is compressing the springs with a compressor. The one I own is a crappy $40.00 one. You get what you pay for. Let me know if you need help. Just post your questions on here and I can answer it for yah, but it really is very simple.

And PS,
I was taught some cool tricks from the guys on here. Mike taught me a diffrent way to replace the brake pads. I have always removed the caliper and replaced them, but mike showed me how you can just remove the opposed face and also change them out. Just goes to show. While I have been all over a S2k, there is still stuff to be learned, and the guys on here can be a great help! so USE US PEOPLE :-)

It intails putting in the hard top factory install kit. Go pick one up from you local dealer or from hardtopguy on the forum. What that intails is just screwing in the bracketry into existing holes. Once you see the kit and the hard top it will all be very clear to you what goes where.

As noted in my PM to you just say where and when. Euclid and i can help you out. I have the manual and all the tools. You can get a spring compressor at any auto part store for a deposit only (i.e. free). I'm home this weekend sao if your game lets give it a go.

I'm in Salt Lake, and Utah is in south Ogden. So it seems you're right in the middle. I think we should do it at my place to make Bob have to come to my place for once . I'm down for this weekend, just let me know which day and an address.
