SCCA Auto-X race on 27-Apr
The next auto-x race in Utah is now 27-Apr at the State Fair Park. This is an event that was just added to the schedule. Race is limited to SCCA members, but it doesn't cost much to join.

msm_s2k, I may just come down and watch. That way I can see how well your car performs with your new suspension mods personally. What time does the actual racing start? I've never been to a race at the fair park.

There are usually 3 run groups with the first group starting at 10am. I won't know what run group I'm in until that morning.
You're welcome to ride along ... just look for the black S2K.

How late do you think it'll go till? I may try to stop by if it ends later in the afternoon. I can't run this time but I have May 18th on my calendar marked. Is there still going to be an auto x at the fairgrounds on the 18th?
Did Christian tell you that I said Hi to you. I got my X brace put in last Saturday and he said you were going down to get yours installed along with a front sway bar.
Hope to see you Sunday afternoon if the auto x goes late into the afternoon. If not, I'll see you the 18th.

The event tomorrow is at the State Fair Park. The events usually last until at least 4pm. Stop by and join me for a ride.
I did have the sway bar and x-brace installed. My son took the car in and picked it up, so I didn't even talk with Christian. I'm very pleased with the sway bar ... I'm surprised by the difference in handling. I wouldn't spend the money for just driving around time, but more than worth it for auto-x.
We should all get together one of these weekends for a drive.
See you tomorrow ...

Michael,
I'll try to be there by 4:00. I'm having my kids birthday party tomorrow and hopefully we'll be done by 3:30. I hope it's still going on at that time. I'll be down.

Hey Foo Cat ... nice to meet you. Sorry you didn't get a chance to go for a run with us. You'll have to ride along at the 18-May event.
The clutch is completely gone. We had to idle the car at about 9 MPH all the way to Modern Garage. Hopefully Modern will be able to put the new clutch and flywheel in this week, otherwise no drivers school or auto-x for us next week.
